(Plus several books that I “received” from myself. When mail-ordering books for others, since I would be paying for shipping anyway, or would get free shipping if I bought one more book, I indulged myself. Among these was an older William Trevor novel, The Silence in the Garden, that I’d probably never find in a store. After finishing his Last Stories, I had no more of his books that I haven’t read. And I couldn’t bear the thought of not having an unread Trevor around to pick up when the mood strikes, so I added that one to my Powell’s order.)
