And here I thought his name was Bear-y, not Barry!

Actually, until I did this post I never really knew how the name was spelled. I just guessed Barry, though Bear-y works too. Either way it's pronounced the same.

You've never had food poisoning or been stung by a bee? Lucky you.

I got stung all the time as a kid. My friends and I were always messing with beehives, batting them with sticks and then running away as fast as we could, so we deserved every sting. But I'll never forget fourth grade, when we discovered a wasp nest near our fort. We decided to throw rocks at the nest, then set it on fire. We quickly realized a swarm of angry wasps is no laughing matter. We ran like the devil himself was after us. One of them got my hand, and my hand swelled to the size of a boxing glove. I couldn't write for a week, and the pain from swelling was unbearable.

I finally learned my lesson after that.
